This is a video clip of some of the highlights from the chase of tropical storm Gabrielle in September 2001 on the Florida West Coast showing effects of wind, waves, and storm surge. The storm's eye and calm as well as ferocious winds are also shown in this video clip. This storm was most likely a hurricane at landfall (unoficially), yet the National Hurricane Center has a strong tropical storm (over 70 MPH winds) at landfall near Venice Beach, Florida.
