"CHASERCON" 2020 (NATIONAL STORM-CHASER CONVENTION)

The storm chaser convention in 2020 took place from January 31 through February 2 in Denver, Colorado at the Doubletree Hilton. This continued to be a great event each year, thanks to the great efforts of Roger Hill and his group, and fortunately this year had some of the best attendance / new attendees. Unfortunately, this was the final ChaserCon event, due to personal reasons on behalf of Roger Hill.

Sign off the main conference room for the storm chaser convention at the Doubletree Hilton near Denver / Stapleton on Friday, January 31.
Myself standing in front of the TIV (Tornado Intercept Vehicle), formerly owned and designed by Sean Casey, in the Doubletree Hilton parking lot near Denver, Colorado on Saturday, February 1. Note the IMAX turret on top of the vehicle, as well as the hydraulic "ram spikes" that penetrate the ground and prevent the vehicle from rolling in tornadic winds.

Tim Marshall (dressed as the professor from the movie "Back To The Future"), despite coming down with a very bad stomach virus, did well at his presentation, entitled "Back to the Futurecast", summarizing all the past presentations he did at previous storm chaser conventions.

One of the biographies on Theodore Fujita, who managed to escape certain death during the atomic bombings in Japan, and would become one of the most respected tornado / severe wind experts. He was known as "Mr Tornado".

Standing ovation when Roger Hill made his concluding speech for the final ChaserCon on Sunday, February 2.
Myself inside the TIV (Tornado Intercept Vehicle). Note the harnesses on the seats, as well as hydraulic equipment for raising and lowering the vehicle, as well as for deploying the ground spikes. By far this is not meant to be a "comfortable ride", but should survive the inside of a strong tornado.
